General Education Meetings
NCADVS meetings are held three times a year at facilities located in Northern California, usually in the San Francisco Bay Area. Meetings consist of a morning business meeting, an educational workshop, and a networking lunch.
What are the topics of the meetings?
Our meetings include a compelling range of educational and leadership development topics. This year, our focus is “Navigating the Corporate Structure” through understanding basic principles of Systems Theory; such as team leadership, permeability and boundaries of networks, and the art of leadership in a continuously changing system . In 2005, the topics of our meetings included Rethinking Orientation, Five-Star Customer Excellence and the use of Humor in Care-giving. In 2004, Ann Evanston, a Leadership Consultant, gave workshops on Marketing and Recruiting, Leadership Skills, Strategic Thinking and Interest-Based Negotiation. NCADVS goes out of our way to research and meet Volunteer Leader’s needs for new information and innovative growth strategies to meet the ever-changing health care environment.
